Hi!
Even though a smile is worth a thousand words, language is the most relevant tool in the art of communication.
I am Cecilia, an English language teacher graduated in Argentina and internationally certified by Cambridge (CELTA) with the highest grade: A.
I started writing my story as a teacher of English in 2011, and from that moment on I have been building scaffolding between content and learners from a wide range of ages and levels, considering teaching to children and adults my areas of expertise.
Whenever I design a learning program, I take great consideration of individuals’ cognitive as well as emotional needs, preferences and goals to do so. Thus, I put plenty of effort trying to personalise the learning program as much as possible since every individual is unique, and it is important that learners feel they are valued so that they will not be afraid of taking risks or exploring new ideas.
I focus my attention on the learner as an active participant of his/her learning process so that it is more meaningful as well as successful.
Don’t we speak the same mother tongue? There is nothing to worry about.
It will not be an obstacle if we do not speak the same native language.
I am trained and qualified as an international teacher of English as a foreign language, and I have experience teaching people from around the world despite their mother tongues.
Not only am I a foreign language teacher but also a polyglot. I master many languages myself, and I am constantly learning new ones.
Being a language student myself provides me with the first person experience of common fears and anxieties language learners usually feel along the learning process.
Every lesson, from beginning to end, is an invitation for learners to enjoy the language through an enriching experience.
How?
- Through a communicative method, proposing a wide variety of engaging as well as effective activities that provide learners with opportunities to use the foreign language from the first class.
- Full exposure to the foreign language from the very beginning. From my experience as a teacher, language learning is more successful when it is learned in the most natural way and similar to our mother tongue acquisition
- Learner-centred approach because every person is unique. As a matter of fact, it is of great importance to identify individuals´ interests, needs, goals, weaknesses and strengths in order to come up with high quality lesson planning and a personalised study program.
- Experiential. Inviting learners to experiment the language through authentic materials and building a strong relation with the foreign language.

Evolve English Online is a virtual language school for adults. It was founded with the main goal of establishing a learning space where my enthusiasm and passion for teaching and students’ willingness to learn are intertwined.
